Her thorough preparation, exceptional listening skills, and judicious, evenhanded approach leads to creative solutions for intractable problems.

EXPERTISE & COMMITMENT

As a Judge Pro Tem, Settlement Officer, and Mediator for Bay Area Courts, Geri has settled countless cases in diverse areas and gained a reputation as one of the most successful settlement officers serving the Bay Area.

Geri holds a J.D. from Hastings College of the Law, and an L.L.M. in International Law from Golden Gate University and is a former adjunct professor of Evidence. Geri has more than 700 hours of specialized and advanced training in dispute resolution techniques, including programs at Pepperdine’s Strauss Institute and the AAA. She is admitted to practice in California, before the U.S. Supreme Court, and multiple Circuit and District Courts. She is a scholar of international law, and trained in crisis intervention, trauma, restorative justice, cross-border disputes, cross-cultural competence, and harm reduction.

A staunch advocate for ADR, Green serves on Alameda County Superior Court ADR Executive Committee, as a board member of the San Francisco Pretrial Diversion Project, and has served as board president of Community Boards. Geri frequently writes and speaks on law and mediation at bar associations and law schools. The District Attorney has honored her annually since 2012 for her “outstanding commitment to improve the quality of life for San Franciscans.” Since 2010, Geri has been named to the Best Lawyers Lists for Civil Rights and ADR Practices by Super Lawyers, and on San Francisco Magazine’s Top Women Attorney’s List.
